Pool Party!

I have been asked several times, "How do you survive the summers in Arizona?" I always answer them the same way, "You must have a pool!" There is nothing better. It doesn't matter if it is a plastic pool from Target or a real pool. You just need to have some sort of contraption that can hold water. When the day hits 105 degrees, you really can't go outside unless you want to be covered from head to toe in sweat. The heat is so intense, it can take your breath away! This week has been especially hot. It has been in the 100's all week long. YUCK!

Lucas and I decided today we would return the pool playdate favor from last week and host one at our house. It was the perfect day. The afternoon wasn't too bad. It was hot, don't get me wrong... BUT not as hot. There was a little bit of an overcast (2-3 clouds). The kids had a great time in the pool. They swam and played until they were ready to have a snack. It is nice when the kids get together. Of course, I mean when the moms get together. It is nice to socialize and have real conversations that don't include, "Do we need to change your diaper?" OR "Is it time for a bottle?" All of which you are saying in your mommy tone.
