8 Months!

Lucas is now 8 months old today! Time sure flies when you are having fun. He is such a little man now. He is so close to crawling. He gets up and rocks, but hasn't quite put it all together. He has PERFECTED crawling backwards. One of these days I will post it. It is just too funny. He is a very happy child and LOVES to laugh. He has a great laugh! There isn't a day that goes by, where I am not amazed at how much he changes and the new things he can do.

weight: 21 pounds & 3 ounces

length: 28 & 1/4 inches

size clothes: 12-18 months

size socks: 12 months.

teeth: Three! Two on the bottom and one on top. The other top tooth is making its way through as you are reading this.

Top 10 Things Lucas Did Before He Turned 8 Months Old!

1. Celebrated Father's Day!

2. Went to storytime with his friends.

3. Had a CF test which came back negative!

4. Had his room darkened. This way his sleep deprived parents could get a little extra sleep.

5. Watched Mom and Dad hit golf balls! This was hysterical to him!

6. Had his crib lowered so he wouldn't tumble out. He helped his dad lower it. Well... he watched.

7. Has been on several playdates this summer which mom enjoys.

Had a playdate at the park with his friends.

Playdates at a park are HOT.

I think we will wait for a cooler day before we do that outing again.

Had a pool playdate at the house with his buddies.

The kids and moms had a great time.

This is something we will do again this summer.

Went to the zoo.

We now have a membership.

This is worth it and he can do this with his Grandma Johnson next school year as well.

8. Celebrated Grandma Johnson's retirement. Congrats! Now she will be able to watch Lucas next year. They are both looking forward to it!

9. Got a new carseat. He has outgrown his infant one. Matt and I do miss the days where we could just move him from one place to the other in his carseat. Especially when he is sleeping. Now we have to get him out of the seat and hope we don't wake him. Oh well. He will learn to be flexible and will travel well.

10. Got his first haircut! He just looks too cute!
