A few weeks ago, our beloved Cienega Bobcat football team made it to the State championship game. We couldn't have been more proud! So we (Matt's mom, another coaches wife & myself) made the trek up to Tempe to cheer on the Cats. Even my little Bobcat tagged along. It wouldn't be a Cienega football game if Lucas wasn't there.
Here is the little man at dinner before the game.
Of course Lucas is in his football jersey that he got from the Head Football Coach.
He thinks he is Hot Stuff because he is sitting in a booth with no booster seat.
As soon as we walked into the Sun Devil Stadium, Lucas was in awe.
He said in his most surprising voice, "Football!"
Like why are we playing on a regular football field, when these HUGE ones exist.
One of our Bobcat football players.
Way up in the press box, was my husband...
Getting ready to coach!
Can't you just tell how much Lucas was in love with the game!
He watched the whole time.
It was so crazy to see the boys play on the BIG screen.
My little man is in LOVE with cheerleaders, so I had to take a picture of them.
This is how Lucas watched most of the game.
Oh yes... That is my little boy with pom, poms.
We did play catch with them most of the game... So his Daddy can't be too upset about Lucas holding them.
Even though our Bobcats didn't win... They played a tough game and with dignity. They had such a great season. The only game they lost was the State game. Nothing to be ashamed of... Here is to another year of great high school football!
