So we have completed Day 2 of our San Diego trip. It has been a great time so far. Today we visited Sea World. We have been promising my nieces that they would get to have breakfast with Shamu since last year when we came. So that is how our day started. Here is the timeline of events.
9:00 am - Arrive at Sea World. Their parking system is much better than the San Diego Zoo. They actually had people directing cars to spaces so we got a great spot near the front.
9:10 am - Bathroom break. But this gave us time to get some photos of Lucas with the cousins.
Morgan, Rylie, Piper & Lucas.
9:15 am - Walked over to the dolphin pool. The kids loved this and had a great time watching the dolphins do some tricks.

9:45 am - Made our way to the Shamu dining area. Checked in and waited to be seated.
10:00 am - Time to eat with Shamu. The breakfast was buffet style. Very tasty for a buffet and the whole time you are eating the whales are doing tricks and swimming right by the table. Very cool experience. The best part was when the whales were first let into the pool and jumped right by us. The faces on the girls were priceless. Also, during this time the power went out at Sea World, but that didn't bother us because we still ate and enjoyed the whale show.
Look at how close he is to the table! It was so awesome!
11:00 am - Went to pet and feed the manta rays. The girls loved feeding them the smelly fish. The only problem is that the sea gulls are very vicious and attack! Rylie was holding out a fish for the manta ray and a sea gull came charging at her.
The crazy sea gull!

12:00 pm - Went to the sea lion show. Lucas was dirty, hungry and grumpy. So Lucas and I left the show early to change him, feed him and make him happy so that we could enjoy the rest of the day.
There are no pictures of this event because Lucas was not in a good mood. Sorry.
1:00 pm - Went to the Shamu show. Watched the whales do many tricks. Very cool show and Lucas was in a much better mood... meaning that he was sleeping. Also, during the show my camera's battery died so the rest of the day is pictureless. Sorry. BUT this is a lesson to make sure I charge my camera before big excursions.

A much happier baby than he was at the sea lion show.
2:00 pm - Went through the shark tank, aquarium, and manatee displays. Good times.
4:00 pm - Left. We were tired, our feet were sore, but it was all worth it. We had a great time and breakfast with Shamu was a hit for everyone. I would highly recommend it for every family!
