So instead of doing one huge blog at the end of the San Diego trip, I have decided to update periodically. Again, we are in San Diego because Matt's basketball team is here for a tournament. Today was day 1 of the trip. Today's big excursion was a trip to the San Diego Zoo! Let me give you the run down of the day.

Grandma promised me a trip to the San Diego Zoo on the day I was born.
12:00 pm - Leaving the hotel to get some lunch.

12:30 pm - Lunch at Subway! Good times and good food.

1:00 pm - Left Subway to go to the zoo.
1:30 pm - Arrive at the zoo to park.
2:00 pm - Still looking for a place to park at the zoo. We had a spot, turned on our blinker to claim the spot, jerk took our spot!!!!
2:30 pm - Finally found a spot in the overflow parking. Thank goodness.
Finally! Let's get unloaded and into the zoo.
2:45 pm - Got our picture taken with Nick Foles (the quarterback for the Arizona Wildcats). Lucky us!

3:00 pm - Went on the bus tour. This is the best way to see the zoo with little ones. We got to see a lot of animals and the kids enjoyed the trip.

3:30 pm - Went to find more animals. The zoo is so huge we only made it to the Children's Zoo and the Monkey Trail. We got to see a lot of monkeys and their relatives.

5:00 pm - Had a little dinner at the cafe and left. It got really chilly once the sun went down. We are such little wimps coming from Tucson. We had the best time! Great zoo! Huge Zoo!
