It's A ... BABY!

Sorry to burst the bubble of anyone who was thinking that we would end up finding out what we we are having today.... But we didn't! We did get to see our little peanut though and it was wonderful. Even the doctor didn't look even after being asked by the Grandmas and their eagle eyes. She even noted that this is a surprise baby on the chart! Although, if you did an informal pole of the 2 grandmas and the daddy, the believe it is a girl. Matt said he thinks that 70 to 30 it is a girl. You know because they all have so much training in this field!

We took Lucas with us, not knowing how he would behave for the appointment. Would he sit there and watch? Would he try to grab all of the equipment in the room? Would he throw a tantrum? Well, he did great. He sat in his stroller (the containment contraption of choice) and played on the i.Pad the whole time. Every once in awhile, he would look at me or look at the screen, but then went back to playing.

Now on to the baby part of the appointment. Everything looks great. The heart, the brain, the lungs, the stomach and the kidneys. It did take a little poking and prodding and SEVERAL tries to get a good look at the heart and stomach. The baby was very stubborn and didn't want to change positions. But finally after the doctor having me change positions a few times and using different "wands" the baby finally moved and allowed us to check out all 4 chambers of the heart and the ventricles. We ran into this same problem with Lucas. Stubborn already... just like the Big Brother!

21 Weeks Old!
Weighs about 14 ounces right now according to all of the measurements.
Such a cute profile!
This is a picture of the little one waving at us.
For real.. The little one waved its hand. So funny!
Also, the peanut had the hands and feet in front of its face which makes it very hard to get a clear shot of the face, too. So you end up with very creepy pictures like this. That is a 3D picture of the baby with the hands in front of the face and a leg hanging out in there as well.
Then you get cute (and I say this lightly) of the little one picking its nose! At least he/she has a very cute nose!
Again, another creepy 3D picture of the peanut with hands and feet in front of the face, making it super hard to get a cute picture of the face. So STUBBORN!
Here is a picture of the peanut with its hands and feet all squished up by its face. But again... Check out that nose! Just like Lucas' and mine!
Here is a picture of the peanut's face looking right at us!
Again, these shots are always special, but a little weird!
Check out those cute little lips!
I really can't wait to hear the voice that comes out of those or the pout that goes with it!
Here is a picture of one hand! Long fingers as well!
Then you can see the knee right by the hand.
A picture of the feet! They are huge and have long toes just like Lucas and Matt!
Very hard to believe in just a few short months, we will get to meet this precious peanut and find out what we are having! Can hardly wait! But I will enjoy the next 19 weeks to get things prepared and ready!
Here we are post appointment!
Mommy & Daddy can't wait to meet you!
