2 Year Old Stats

So today Lucas had his 2-year old doctor appointment. As always, I am a little nervous about taking him to the doctor just because I don't know how he is going to behave. But he did great! He played nicely in the waiting room and we drew pictures of shapes and wrote numbers. He sat nicely for the nurse to weigh him, other than trying to turn off the scale. In the exam room, he played really well on the i.Pad while we waited for the doctor. Then when the doctor came in, he sat nicely for her while she listened to his heart, lungs and checked his ears, eyes and reflexes. She said everything looked great! She even had him play catch with her to check his gross motor skills. Of course, he caught the ball and threw the ball. Then she had him kick the ball. He is a pro at both of these skills! It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that his dad is a sports freak! Which has made him a sports freak!

Anyway on to the stats:
height: 37 inches (96 percentile)
weight: 28 pounds (50 percentile, average for a 2-year old that never stops)
head circumference: 50 cm (82 percentile)

The greatest news that we could have heard, well Matt could have heard, was that at 2-years you can double their height and that is what they will most likely be when they are done with growing. So the doctor said Lucas might be 6'2 to 6'4 inches tall! Matt is so excited! Me too. I am just glad that he won't have my height.

All-in-all it was a great appointment and our little man is growing nicely and behaving just as he should! Way to go Lucas!
