7 Months!

Lucas is 7 months old today! So crazy to think. I feel that time is flying by. As Matt so kindly puts it, "He will be getting married and moving out soon!" Of which, I remind him that he only has eyes for his mommy right now. He has been through a lot this month which constantly reminds me of how resilient all children are. It doesn't faze them. They know they are uncomfortable, unhappy, not in there comfy surroundings... BUT once it is over, they bounce back and are as happy as can be. For this, we parents, are truly thankful. Each day he is doing something new, something that makes us laugh, and something that makes him laugh. We wish we can share all of these moments with all of you, but it is hard to capture it all in film. So we will share what we were able to capture. Enjoy!

Here are his 7 month old stats:
weight: 20 pounds & 2 ounces (we are 2 pounds away from growing out of his carseat! YIKES!)
length: 27 inches
size clothes: 9-12 months
size socks: 12 months.
teeth: TWO!

Top 10 Things Lucas Did Before He Turned 7 Months Old!

1. Survived an unexpected stay at the hospital because of an asthma attack!

2. Went to Morgan's Fancy Nancy Birthday!
Check out my cute tie!
I am so Fancy!
The girls are getting manicures and pedicures.
Matt would have no such thing for his son!
3. Tried his first taste of chocolate cake!
Check out that face!
Too funny!
4. Went to the pulmonologist for a follow up visit. Since Lucas had been reacting well to the asthma medication, it has been determined that he has asthma. There is still one more test that needs to be done in June, but Dr. Riordan believes it is asthma. He is currently on one inhaler twice a day. His dosage will go down on June 1st when the students are all out of school. She says that it when the germs are at there all time lows.

5. Had a couple of outings. One to Jimmy Johns. He had a great time eating his lunch while we ate our subs. I just wish we had one closer to Vail.
The other outing was to a UofA baseball game. He had a great time playing with his friend named Luke and Cousin Morgan.
6. Got a toolbox from Grandma and Grandpa Fildes. Grandma Fildes couldn't stand it when Lucas was in the hospital and flew down that night.

Why play with your hands, when you can play with your feet.
It is so much more fun!
7. Tried Gerber Puffs! He makes the funniest faces when he eats them, but he can't stop eating them.

8. Celebrated Mother's Day with his mommy. We had a great time. Mommy got to sleep in. Then we went to dinner at Grandpa & Grandma Johnson's house. Grandpa Johnson made a great ham and potatoes. Lucas even tried a little of the fruit salad. Mom got a new video camera so we can take fun videos of Lucas.

9. Went swimming in the pool with Daddy! He just loves the pool and laughs so hard. He is going to become a fish because he will be in the pool everyday. Unfortunately, he needs to be lathered completely in sunscreen because of his fair skin. I don't think he will be working on his tan.
Check out that belly!
So cute in his trunks.

He just loves the pool!
10. Went to a pool party at Nemer's house. He got to hang out with his friends: Ty and Morgan. They had a great time playing together. He got to go swimming again with Daddy.
Totally trying to paddle.
