A Preschool Performance to Remember!

We have been looking forward to Lucas' preschool Spring performance for awhile. Since we received the flyer announcing the date, we have been asking Lucas what songs he would be singing. The answers varied each day, ranging from Isty Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, the Snack Song or that he wasn't singing any songs at school. So we weren't really sure. We were never told by the teacher so we didn't practice at home.

So the night of the performance we were a little leary of what was going to happen. How would Lucas react to being in front of about 100 people? Would he stand there? Would he try to get off the stage? Would he perform his little heart out? I really couldn't wait to see what would happen.

Luckily, Lucas was the latter. He sang and danced his little heart out. He was definitely the "Star of the Show!" At least in our eyes. He sang every song, he did all of the movements, he performed! We couldn't have been prouder!

Oh and the songs that he performed... Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, Head and Shoulders, and the Chicken Dance! My favorite of all of them was the Chicken Dance! Man he was all over that song! He flapped his arms and wiggled his toosh like he was always meant to do so! It was so funny!

The performer and his little sis!
Story of our life when trying to take pictures...
One is looking while the other isn't.

He is so excited to take us to his performance!
Sitting on his carpet square waiting for his class to be called up onto the stage.
Can't wait to see Big Brother perform!
Here is Lucas waving to us as he got on the stage.
Wheels on the Bus!

We are so lucky that Great Grandma and Grandma & Grandpa Johnson got to come!
My parents were in town and got to come the performance!
I am so glad they got to see him... They were too!
So proud of Lucas!
He did such a great job!
This video is my favorite! When he got up on the stage, he found us and started waving like crazy. Then he shouted, "Hey Mom! What you doing?" Too funny!

Here is a little video of Lucas' performance!

A little celebratory ice cream!
Look how happy he is! He did such a wonderful job!
Definitely not shy about singing and shaking his booty in front of people!
