So as many of you know a few weeks ago Lucas got a mild case of RSV and we were doing breathing treatments. While we were in Colorado we THOUGHT we had beat it. I stress the word thought. He was breathing without wheezing and wasn't coughing any more. We returned to Arizona and a couple of days later he started wheezing and coughing. OH NO!!! We went into the pediatrician and she refilled his prescription and we started treatments all over again.
We did this for about 5 days and he wasn't getting any better. He wasn't getting worse, just not better. So we returned for what seems like our weekly visit to the pediatrician. They weighed him, checked his oxygen levels and then in comes the pediatrician. She listened to his chest and reassured us that it is not in his lungs. She said it could be one of two things. The first one being RSV again or allergies. So she gave us prednisone and azithromycyn. The prednisone to open up his airways and the azithromycyn to help with the wheezing. He was on this treatment for a week. She said as long as the cough and wheezing stayed away after treatment it was RSV. IF it comes back it is possibly allergies. We are hoping that it is just a cold and stays away. Otherwise, he will have inherited MY allergies. As of right now he is doing well... keep your fingers crossed.
Now for the prunes. Since Lucas has started solids: sweet potatoes, carrots, peas & oatmeal... He has become a little CLOGGED if you know what I mean. So while he is trying to breath and fight this cold, he is grunting up a storm. So to help with the ridiculous grunting and I mean RIDICULOUS... we had a little prunes. We are working those into his diet from now on.
All is better now. We just keep our fingers crossed that the wheezing and coughing stay away. Here are some random pictures of the little man. Enjoy!
So tired after his playdate at the park with all of his friends.

Such a happy boy.
What his Aunt Shawna likes to call his Chris Farley look.

Sitting up and playing with his blocks.
Watch the progression of his sitting up status.
Where am I going?
Why is the world at a slant?!
