Boys vs. Girls: The Johnson Family: Macie is 8 Months!

Seriously it is so hard to believe that my little baby girl is now 8 Months! Where does the time go? She is at a really great age, but it is super hard to believe that my baby isn't so little anymore. We are loving every moment with her.

Highlights of being 8 Months:

* Macie had her first trip to Disneyland! She had so much fun!

* Macie learned to clap. It really is the cutest thing! I just love it.

* She has crawled! Yes folks, we have a crawler on our hands! She is about a week away from being all over the house. Oh boy! Our world is going to change quite a bit. Now we will have 2 to chase around.

* Macie now has 5 teeth. The newest ones include her to front top teeth and a third one on the bottom. She looks so cute with her teeth!

* Macie has had her first piggies! They were too cute!

Sleep:

* Macie has been going through a weird sleep pattern. She has really great nights and then some really poor nights. I think she is going through a growth spurt because she has been eating more. Who knows!

* The other issue is that she rolls over in her sleep and ends up on her belly, which she doesn't like very well. So then she wakes up. But once you roll her back over and put in her pacifier she goes right back to sleep.

* She does prefer to sleep on her side. I lay her down flat and she rolls to the side.

* She is still my little cat napper. Macie takes about an hour nap in the morning around 9 and then an afternoon nap around 1 for about 45 minutes. Little lady needs to work on her napping skills. Although, she will nap for hours if you hold her.

Eats:

* Macie loves her food. She is eating breakfast (baby oatmeal), lunch & dinner. She will eat anything you give her. We are blessed not to have a picky eater!

* She also has been eating some regular food vs. baby food if she is able to mash it with her teeth. She does enjoy home made sweet potatoes mixed with applesauce!

* Her new favorite food is pancakes! She likes to enjoy these with her Big Brother!

* She is finally like the Ger.ber yogurt bites. Her brother likes those as well. I think Lucas eats more of them than she does.

* Macie is still drinking her sensitive formula. She drinks anywhere from 4-7 ounces. She eats 4 ounces with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then she has a 7 ounce bottle before bed.

Likes:

* Macie still loves to be outside! Seriously she could be in the worst mood, but once you take her outside you would never guess that she was cranky!

* She does love to torment her brother as well. Now that she is a little more mobile, she loves to go after his toys. This is going to be so much fun once she is really taking off and stealing them from him. Good times to follow!

* Also, I think we are going to have another golfer on our hands. She will crawl for Lucas' red putter and take the golf balls from him... When she can reach them. I see a lot of family time on the golf course as they get older.

Dislikes:

* Macie doesn't have a lot of dislikes right now. Although if you make her work too hard on crawling she can get a little cranky. Luckily her dad is there to rescue her once she starts to whine. Such a Daddy's girl!
