Family Pictures!

Today we ventured to Mt. Lemon to take some family pictures. We usually do this during our October break since that is when Lucas' birthday is and we can have pictures of him as he grows each year. Well, now that we have a new little one, we needed to update our family pictures. Family pictures of four!

Now I am not going to lie, we didn't hire a professional. We never do. We just use the timer on my camera and ta-da! This is for a couple of reasons... The first being, we are a little cheap and we have been successful taking them on our own. The second is we don't want to risk paying a lot when a certain 2-year old and now a little month old might not cooperate. Not worth the risk. Maybe when they are a little older.

It definitely was a little trickier now with two children. We even thought about NOT including Husker, but he has been in all of our family pictures, even before children. When Matt and I would take family pictures we included Husker. But we managed. Here is a list of things that come with taking family pictures on our own...

1. The family, including the dog.

2. A tripod.

3. A stroller.

4. Two sandwiches from Fortunato's. (Very delicious italian deli sandwiches!) Highly recommend.

5. A chicken nugget happy meal.

6. Water, water dish, leash and the bark collar for Husker.

7. And most importantly the camera (making sure it is charged and ready to go).

We always start the adventure with a little picnic. You know make sure everyone is fed and happy. Then we take on the task of picking out the right location. We stop at the same picnic area every time, but like to change up the spot where we take the pictures so they don't always look the same. Once that is done, the picture taking adventure begins!

So here are the results. Not all of them we use for our family picture wall, but it is fun seeing the progression.

This one was a front runner for the "wall" but I am leaning too much so we passed.
This one is just too funny. You can see Matt trying to contain Husker and me keeping Lucas from jumping off the tree stump.
Lucas is pulling my hair... Not a winner.
Again... Not a winner! Do I did to explain why?
Close to a winner... But not the one.
If you look closely at Lucas... He might be digging for gold.
This picture Lucas looks like he is afraid of his sister.
Super cute!

My little explorer!

This one almost made the wall, but we have one just like this literally already on the wall.
Playing hide and seek with Daddy.

Adorable.
Macie was not a fan of laying on the ground.

Please note that he is playing golf with the stick.

The moment you all have been waiting for... Here are the ones that made the "wall!"

It is so hard taking family pictures!
