Happy Birthday, Daddy!

To the world's greatest daddy! There are so many things that make Matt the world's greatest dad. Here are the Top 10!

1. He was the greatest support in the labor and delivery room when we welcomed Lucas into the world! He even got to announce that Lucas was a boy!
2. He is always there for us when we need him... Even when he is so busy with work and coaching.
3. He will play basketball, football, soccer, baseball. golf, etc... for hours on end with his son!
4. He works hard to provide a home and safety for our family. He works almost 14 hours a day between teaching and coaching.
5. He celebrates all of Lucas' successes and is so proud of his little boy!
6. He wants Lucas to come to basketball practice so that he can see his little man before Lucas goes to bed.
7. He will take Lucas on special "guy" trips to give me a little break!
8. He put Lucas' Big Boy room together all by himself!
9. He has been a wonderful husband for 11 years. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think how lucky I am to have him in my life.
10. He is devoted to his family!
Such a good Daddy!
Ready to blow out the candles.
There are 3 candles. One for each decade of Matt's life.

So excited that they blew out the candles.
Immediately after, Lucas said, "Again?"
Then we had a little playtime with our cousins, Noah and Abby. Lucas has such a blast playing with them. Even Noah's good friend, Nick got in on the fun.
Who doesn't play basketball standing on their head in a chair?
Shooting the ball the regular way is just TOO easy!

Then it was time to celebrate Noah and Abby's birthdays with all of the family. November and December are full of birthdays so it makes family gatherings a lot of fun. But we have gotten smarter and we just celebrate them all in one day since we live in different parts of the state and country. So it is best to party hard when we all have the chance to be together.

What's a little party without getting something new for the little peanut-to-be. Matt's Aunt Kathy's mom made these beautiful UofA quilts by hand. One is for Lucas and his big boy room and one is for Baby J.
They are just gorgeous and so soft!
