Since March Madness is just around the corner... this blog is in honor. Lucas LOVES basketball. I mean I really haven't seen a 16 month old so infatuated with the game. He runs around the basketball court at Cienega likes he owns it, he will dribble the ball, and he will shoot hoops for hours. This has made his Daddy so proud! Well... Lucas has had a little hoop that we got from Aunt Lori and Uncle David, but he has started to outgrow it. We knew this has been coming for a little bit, but it was confirmed this weekend when he started to carry it around the house. He drags it from room to room. It is too cute, but time to upgrade. So we made a little family trip to the toy store. He had the best time. We didn't bring the stroller with us and Lucas was really good about holding hands until he spotted the sport aisle with all of the balls. Then game over, he broke free!

But... just look at the smile on his face.
Then he spotted the basketball hoop!
It was love at first sight!
Once we got home, Matt put together the hoop while Lucas took his bath.
That is the reason for just being in a diaper.
He was so excited to play that we couldn't get pj's on.
He played basketball for another hour!
We even Skyped with Grandma Fildes and Aunt Shawna so they could see him play.
He has a blast!
