It is really hard to believe that in less than a month Macie is going to be one year old! Where has the time gone? It is so hard to believe that I am already planning and buying things for her first birthday! She is a great little girl. There are moments when you can see her little personality shine through. Macie is mellow at times and in a split second is feisty as all get out! She is going to give us and Lucas a run for our money. Even though she has a feisty personality, she has brought us tremendous joy to our lives. Macie has the greatest laugh. When she gets the giggles, it is the best. Even when she does what we call her "courtesy laugh" it is too funny! She is so cute and smart. Macie takes everything in and watches every move. You can't fool her! I know I say this every month, but I really mean it. She makes our family complete!

Highlights of being 11 Months:
* Macie is a walker. She will cruise all over the room BUT only if she has something to hold onto. She walks on her tip toes. She has taken a few tentative steps, but prefers to hang on her walking car.
This one cracks me up. She totally crashes! But she isn't fazed by it!
* Macie has celebrated some firsts: Her first Christmas and her first New Years.

* Also, she had fun (on the second day) at Sea World.
* She loved going to the beach in San Diego.
Words:
* Go

* Also, sometimes I swear she can say, "I did it." Not sure if she is really saying that, but if she does something, she will say something and it sounds just like that.
Sleep:
* Macie has been a pretty good sleeper most of the time. She usually goes to bed around 7 and sleeps through the night. Most of the time... The only time she doesn't sleep through the night is when she has a cold or is breaking a new tooth.
* She still doesn't want to be rocked to sleep anymore. She prefers to be laid down. Most of the time she doesn't even cry. If she does, it is only for a minute.
* As for napping, just depends on the day. Most of that time she takes about 2-3 naps a day. They are usually cat naps. But we will take what we can get. If she sleeps well at night, then she can take cat naps.
Eats:
* Macie is a good eater. She is really starting to eat a lot of table foods. Her favorites of this month include: grapes, peas, bananas and cheese.
* Her favorite snacks include: graham crackers. Girl can't get enough of these.
* We are really working on the sippy cup with her. Our hope is to be off the bottles by the time she turns one. We give her a variety of drinks (water, formula, juice) in them so that it won't matter if they are in a bottle or in a cup.
Likes:
* Macie is still in love with her brother. Lucas is the best thing according to her. She hates it when he is out of the room.
* Her nickname: Messy Macie. She loves to drop things on the floor and have you pick them up. She can do this for hours. She is also a messy eater. Lucas calls her Messy Macie. It is funny!
* Macie likes her new playroom (as does Mommy).
* Macie loves to dance. If you put on music or if music is playing on one of her toys she will start dancing. It is so cute!
* Macie loves Lucas' tool bench. She will go right over to it and pretend to build things.
Dislikes:
* Macie does not like having her hair washed. Mostly she doesn't like having the soap rinsed out. Once it is over she is fine.
* Also, she doesn't like that she isn't as mobile as her brother. She is so ready to run, but needs to master walking first.
* Doesn't like to have things taken away from her. She will throw a HUGE fit if something is taken from her. Temper tantrum.
* Macie hates taking her inhaler. It is necessary because she is on a preventative dose daily But she screams, even when she sees you get it out of the cupboard.

When you look at her, it is hard to tell she is going to be 1.
