Lucas' Top 10 Moments!

So I am sure you are thinking I post a lot about little Miss Macie, but what about the other cutie in my life. Well, he has been super busy and loving life so I thought I would share what Lucas would probably say are his Top 10 Moments of 2013 thus far. AND since they are his Top 10, they are my Top 10.

1. Lucas had a playdate with his buddy Ty. Ty was born 2 days before Lucas so they have been destined to be best buds. They had the greatest time together. It was so cute to see how they interacted and played together.
Lucas and Ty enjoying lunch together.
Fast Friends!
The two had so much fun together that we even had a mini playdate at a basketball game. Matt's team was playing at a school that Ty's mom works at so they got to spend more time together. They were everywhere together.

2-7. BASKETBALL. Sorry I know it might be a little bit of an exaggeration. But it is true. The kid lives for basketball game nights. He loves to watch his Daddy coach and he loves to watch the boys play. He has even memorized the line up!

Macie and Lucas ready for a big game!
They were sporting their white shirts for the "White Out!"
His favorite part of the night is half time and after the game. This is when he gets to practice his own mad skills on the court. When half time ends he throws the balls to the guys so they can warm up and then he gives Matt a fist pump before the start of the second half. After the game, he walks with Matt as the players pass each other and shake hands. Precious!

8. The absolute best part of basketball is after home games. Lucas and Matt sit together at the table and call in the score to the newspaper. They add up the quarters and the points for each player. "We do basketball score!" Then Matt calls the newspaper and tells the sports writer the score. While Matt is telling the writer, Lucas sits right next to him with his own pencil and says it with him. It is a memory I am sure will be with Lucas forever. He just hasn't quite figured out why we don't do this when we have away games.

How cute is this?
My coach and my future coach!
9. Golf... He loves going to the golf course with Matt. He has become quite the golfer that we no longer can hit in the back yard. Otherwise we will have to start paying to replace windows for the neighbors. Here is a video from his latest golf adventure with Matt.

10. Lucas is really into spelling right now, but even more about typing different words. So one day I was showing him how to type his name on the computer. Literally, I showed him once how to type it and how to capitalize the first letter and he did each one alone. Now he is really into spelling different names like Mommy, Daddy, Macie, Husker and the names of his friends at school.

At school he is the only one who was able to find the letters of his name and put them in the right order using foam letters with out any assistance. So proud!

Typing his name...
Yes, that is a whistle.
He runs around the house with a whistle.
Like he is coaching.
Funny Lucas Sayings of the Month:
"It's perfect!" - Referring to anything, especially about his dinner.
"Football boys are sleeping." - Referring to the fact that football season is over and the boys aren't on the football field.
"Boys rule and girls drool!" - Blame this on his dad. They say this all of the time to Macie and me.
"How's your day Mom?" - He says this every day when we sit down to eat dinner. I love it!!!

And that wraps up Lucas' Top 10.
I know the majority of his Top 10 were basketball, but it is the truth!
He loves it!
We love it!
