Macie is 9 Months Old!

I know I am repeating myself. But it really is hard to believe how fast my little girl is growing up. In just a few short months she is going to be one and I will have two toddlers and no babies. Sad. There are moments when I am looking forward to her being a little bigger (i.e. no more formula!). But mostly I wish I could freeze time a just for a little while longer. Macie is our last little one. No more for this house. So I do want to cherish every moment that I get with her, especially before I am too cool to be around. Macie really is a wonderful little baby. She brightens up every day with her big cheesy smile. Macie has the best laugh... It sounds just like her brother. So when they both get into giggling fits with each other, it is contagious. We are really lucky to have Macie in our lives. She really does make this family complete!

Highlights of being 9 Months:

* Macie is now pulling herself up on anything she can get her hands on. Crib, pack n play, dishwasher... This is fun when you go into her room in the morning and she is standing there with a huge smile on her face. Too cute!

* Macie has taken a couple of steps while holding on to the couch. I think we are going to be in BIG trouble soon. Macie can't wait though. She wants to run with Lucas so badly. Lucas won't be too happy though. He doesn't like the fact that she can crawl. He will say, "Macie no crawl. Macie stop!" Funny. 

* She now gets quarantined in her pack n play at times because she crawls EVERY where. This allows her to play with her toys so Mommy can cook dinner. 

* Macie is getting used to her hair being done. She loves looking at herself in the mirror, especially after she gets pigtails put in. She gets a big smile on her face. I love it. 

* She celebrated her first Halloween. The world's cutest ladybug... If I do say so myself.

* Macie is learning how to dance. It is super cute. She is getting most of her dance moves from her brother.

Sleep:

* Macie is a fairly good sleeper... Unless she has a cold. Then she is the ABSOLUTE worst sleeper. Poor girl has had about 3 colds this month. I do blame her brother. Lucas isn't too good at sharing toys, but boy does he know how to share germs. Poor girl.

* She takes anywhere from 2-3 naps a day. Just depends. The morning nap is a cat nap (30-40 minutes). Her afternoon nap is her better one (1-2 hours). The third nap will happen if her afternoon nap gets cut short. Which happens if you have a Big Brother. 

Eats:

* Macie eats everything you give her. She really isn't that picky. 

* She loves peas. Not the mashed up baby peas, but the real deal. She gobbles them up. 

* Also, she loves bread. Macie is definitely her Daddy's girl. Matt loves bread. 

* Macie is holding her bottle ALL BY HERSELF! YAY! She is such a big girl.

Likes:

* Macie loves anything her brother is doing. Unfortunately, brother is not too fond of that. Lucas has learned that if she is going after something he is doing, he will put it up on the table where she can't reach it. 

* Macie loves to play with Lucas' toy cars. We have tried to give her the baby toy cars. No deal. She wants the real ones. I think she is going to be a little tomboy with a touch of girlieness. Just like her Mommy. YAY!

* She loves playing with the door stops. It is cute. Lucas loved them when he was little too. They are very similar about certain things.

* Macie loves to brush her teeth. 

Dislikes:

* Girl has learned how to throw a tantrum. If you take away something that she SHOULD NOT have, she will throw a huge fit. Crying, legs kicking. It is kind of funny.
