Macie is 5 Months!

Macie is now 5 months old! It is so hard to believe. I can't believe she is almost halfway through her first year. Time sure does fly! I really love her to pieces. She is just the best little girl in the world. Her best friend is her brother. Lucas loves to make her laugh. When Macie starts laughing he gets the giggles and says, "Macie laugh, Macie laugh!" Macie just amazes us every day. Seriously can't imagine our life with out her!

Highlights of being 5 Months:

* Macie has been moved from her pack n play in our room to her crib. YAY! It has been a little bit of an adjustment. She wasn't too sure at first, but I think she is getting used to it.

* Her Aunt Shawna came to visit for a couple of weeks! They had a great time together.

* Mom started back to work this week and she is loving being home with her Daddy. 

* Macie has started to do full belly laughs. She has been giggling for quite some time, but now we have the full on laugh! It is so adorable. Her laugh sounds a lot like Lucas', but again just girlier! 

* She has been in her jumper. She likes it a lot. 

Sleep:

* Macie is a pretty good sleeper. She still loves her catnaps in the morning. But then takes a nice nap in the afternoon. She will sleep for about 1-2 hours. She would sleep even longer if she is being held for her nap. She loves to be cuddled when she is sleeping. It is getting a little harder to get her to go to sleep. I think it is because she is so afraid she is going to miss out on the fun!

Eats:

* Macie has had her first taste of "real" food. She has had cereal and veggies. She LOVES the new addition to her diet.  

* She is still on her sensitive formula, but now she is drinking about 5-6 ounces at at time versus 4 ounces.

Likes:

* Macie loves bath time. She starts to giggle as soon as I take her upstairs for her bath. 

* Loves being in just a diaper. Who can blame her when it is 100+ degrees outside.

* She is a Daddy's girl for sure! Macie loves her Daddy!

* She loves her blankie and her lullabies. 

Dislikes:

* Being hot. She is a little space heater herself. 

* When her brother leaves the room. Macie is in love with her brother. She watches his every move. 

* Macie is still not a huge fan of riding in the car. She is getting a little better. Hopefully it is just a phase or maybe because it is so hot that it is just uncomfortable. Maybe when it cools off, she will like it better.

Weight: 16 pounds 

Length: 26 inches

Hair Color: brown with blonde & red highlights 

Eye Color: They have turned this gorgeous green/brown. Love them!

Clothes Size: 6-9 months
