Today was a fun day for Lucas. It has become a tradition to have an Easter Egg Hunt and a picnic with our friends and their children. The best thing about this tradition is how it continues to grow and new children have become a part of this fun day! For the last couple of years we have done it at a local park, but with so many children it can be overwhelming. So this year we decided to have it a local preschool. This will be the preschool that Lucas will attend next school year. It couldn't have been more perfect! The best part was that it is enclosed so the kids could run and play without us have to worry if one was running into the desert. Plus, the parents could talk with out having to chase down a kiddo.
Before the Easter Egg Hunt began, we let the children run and play for a little bit. They had a blast playing together.

| Of course, my little man would find a ball to play with. |

After letting the kids play for a little while, we decided it was time to hide the eggs. While a couple of parents hid the eggs, the kids got to play in BJ's classroom. Thank you so much BJ!

Can't you just see him leading calendar for his class. So cute! |
Then it was time to release the kids for a little egg hunting. Each child brought 6 eggs and were allowed to collect 6 eggs. This allows for everyone to have a fair chance with out the competition.
 |
Lucas found his first egg and opened it up. Inside was jelly beans. Of course, he starting eating them. I had to prompt him to continue his search. |
 |
| Here he is eating his jelly beans. Look at how those cheeks are stuffed with them. |
After all of the kids collected their eggs, it was time to eat lunch. While the children were eating, Lucas passed out his special treat for them. They were carrot shaped bags filled with gold.fish crackers. We made them because we were the ones hosting the party. Just a little something fun for the kids! He was so cute saying each of the kids' names.

 |
| Lucas was in LOVE with Taylor. At one point he walked over to her and asked her to "Hold hands." |
 |
Macie slept through her first Easter Egg Hunt. Next year she will be running around with the kids. Can't wait! |
 |
Good times for everyone! Next year will be just as much fun! |
