Picnic and Pictures!

Matt and I have been enjoying our fall break and spending time with each other and Lucas. Finally, Tucson has started to feel like fall here so we decided to take a drive to Mt. Lemon to possibly see some fall colors. I am a Colorado girl at heart and truly miss the fall colors. You know yellow, red and orange leaves. Since we were taking the time to drive up and have a picnic, we decided to take some pictures as well. We aren't very fond of going to a picture place to take pictures and since my nice camera has a timer on it, this was a perfect opportunity to take some family pictures.

We started with a little picnic. Matt and I had Fortunado's (a fabulous sub sandwich place), Lucas enjoyed his jelly sandwich and Husker enjoyed his dog treats. Then we started the adventure of taking pictures. Matt brought his tripod and set up the camera. The first spot was perfect, but we weren't very good at calculating the run from the camera, holding a 30 pound dog to make sure he made it in his spot before the timer went off. You would think with the cold air we wouldn't be sweating, but by the end... we were glad to get back into the car with the air conditioner. Lucas only ate a little bit of bark and pine needles so we could get the perfect shot of him standing by the log... Anyway, here are some pictures from the day!
